Republic Day 2024: French army will also take part in the parade

Preparations for the Republic Day Parade are going on in full swing. This time special preparations have been made by the Indian Air Force. French President Emmanuel Macron will be the chief guest at the Republic Day parade this year. To make the Republic Day parade special, a contingent of the French Army is also participating in it.

France’s 95-member marching contingent and 33-member band contingent are taking part in the Republic Day parade this year. For this special occasion, these troops of the French Army were seen preparing for the parade at Vijay Chowk. French Air Force’s Rafale fighter aircraft and multirole tanker transport aircraft will also be displayed in the parade. Squadron Leader Sumita Yadav, who accompanied Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a guest on France’s Bastille Day, is also taking part in this parade. Before this parade, the rehearsal of President Murmu’s carcade was also seen.

Women Fighter Pilots Also Included Women fighter pilots have also been included in the Republic Day parade. 48 women Agniveer are also participating in this parade. Along with this, a replica of the Indian Air Force will be displayed in the tableau. A total of 51 aircraft will participate in this Republic Day parade. These 51 aircraft will include 29 fighter aircraft, eight transport aircraft and 13 helicopters.

C-295 aircraft is also going to participate for the first time on Republic Day. The Indian Air Force will also feature Tangol Airdrop in this parade. This aircraft led India to victory over Pakistan in 1971. LCA Tejas is also going to participate in the Republic Parade for the first time. Four aircraft will fly in Tejas formation.
