Diwali bonus file of employees ready, Finance department made a proposal

The government gives bonus on Diwali every year to government employees up to 4800 grades working in government departments of the state. The proposal for this is prepared by the Finance Department. The proposal has been prepared.

The government employees of the state are going to get the gift of a Diwali bonus. The state government has started preparations for giving Diwali bonus and an announcement in this regard can be made soon. About 1 lakh 20 thousand employees of different departments are eligible for the Diwali bonus.

The government gives bonus on Diwali every year to government employees up to 4800 grades working in government departments of the state. The proposal for this is prepared by the Finance Department. Bonus is announced on this proposal after the approval of the Chief Minister. This time in view of the festival of Diwali in October, the Finance Department has started preparations for the bonus.

Government sources said that the Finance Department has prepared a proposal regarding the Diwali bonus. This proposal will be placed in the cabinet meeting to be chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on October 12. Once the proposal is approved, the bonus for the employees will be announced and paid. In this regard, officials of the Finance Department said that about one lakh 20 thousand employees of various departments are eligible for the Diwali bonus. The government pays about seven thousand rupees to every employee as a Diwali bonus.

The central government has increased the dearness allowance of employees by four percent just a few days ago. After this, now the state government has also started preparations in this regard. According to sources, the DA may also get approval in the cabinet meeting to be held on October 12. Officials said that the amount to be charged as DA and bonus is being assessed and an announcement in this regard can be made soon. Government employees in the state are currently getting a 34 percent dearness allowance and after the announcement of a four percent hike, it will increase to 38 percent. All government employees and pensioners of the state will get the benefit of this increase in dearness allowance.
