5G in Uttarakhand from next year

Of the total 15 thousand villages of Uttarakhand, 700 still do not have a mobile company network in any way. Apart from this, work is being run on 2G or 3G only in 3739 villages of Uttarakhand.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the 5G service in the country on October 1. Although this service has not started in any city of Uttarakhand yet, but the telecom companies and the state government have started preparations for it. While the necessary infrastructure for the 5G network is being prepared at the level of telecom companies, the Uttarakhand government is making necessary policy changes. In this regard, on Wednesday, ITDA Additional Director Girish Gunwant said that the equipment required for the 5G service has to be installed very close. For this, the help of other government properties including electric poles, and bus shelters have to be taken. For this, changes are being made in the policy. According to sources, about 1200 mobile towers are to be installed for 5G service in Uttarakhand.

Still no mobile network in 700 villages of the state

Of the total 15 thousand villages of Uttarakhand, 700 still do not have a mobile company network in any way. Apart from this, work is being run in 3739 villages only on 2G or 3G. Due to this, providing a 5G network in the state is going to prove to be a challenging task.
