Corona in Uttarakhand: Cases increased again

14 people, including 12 people and two locals, who reached Shri Siddhbali temple in Kotdwar, have been found to be corona positive. In Uttarakhand, 310 new infected have been found in the last 24 hours. At the same time one infected has died. So far 345963 people have been infected in the state. Today 111 people have been cured. There are now 654 active cases in the state. At the same time, it is reported from the sources that State Health Secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey has also been found to be Corona positive. It is being told that he got his corona test done after complaining of feeling a little, in which his report was found positive. 

Cases found on monday

On Tuesday, 192 people have come under the grip of infection in Dehradun district. 26 in Haridwar and Nainital, 34 in Pauri, five in Almora, two in Bageshwar and Champawat, 13 in Udham Singh Nagar, three in Tehri, five in Pithoragarh, one each in Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts. No infected have been found only in Chamoli district.

Corona test of teachers and employees also in NIEPVD

The institute has become alert after corona infection was found in four students of National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Vision (NIEPVD). On Tuesday, the corona test of teachers and employees was also done. After the children were found corona infected, the entry of outsiders has been banned by the institute.

14 corona infected including 12 people reached Siddhbali temple on new year 

On January 1, 14 people, including 12 people and two locals, who reached the Shri Siddhabali temple in Kotdwar on the occasion of New Year, have been found to be corona positive. After the report from the District Kovid War Room on Tuesday, the Health Department has become alert on the arrival of corona infected in the crowd of Siddhbali temple. The department is busy making a list of the people who came in contact with the corona infected. However, the concern of the Health Department has increased due to the wrong mobile numbers and addresses of the infected being written. 
CMO Pauri Dr. Praveen Kumar said that on January 1, samples were taken for RTPCR test of people coming from outside states at UP-UK border Kauria checkpost. Out of which the RTPCR report of one person coming from Meerut and 11 people coming from Muzaffarnagar has come positive. Apart from this, the report of one person from Padampur Motadhank in Kotdwar and one person from Devi Road has also come corona positive. Sampling was done on December 31 after both these local people complained of fever and cold. Both the people resident of Kotdwar have been home isolated. Tracing is being done for people coming from outside states. 

Invoices handed over to 129 people who did not apply masks

In the midst of increasing cases of Corona, Roorkee Police has also started increasing the strictness. The police handed over challans to those who did not apply masks while fined them. By running a campaign, the police cut challans of 129 people.

Six more students infected in the Institute of Visually Handicapped

Six more students of National Institute of Visually Handicapped have been found corona infected. So far the report of 10 students in the institute has come positive. District Surveillance Officer Dr. Rajiv Dixit said that on Tuesday also the team of Health Department has taken 1&9 samples here.

Entry of outsiders has been banned in the institute. In view of the increasing cases of Corona, the director of the institute issued this order. The Health Department has taken seriously the students found infected without travel history. Sampling is going on continuously for two days, in which all the students, teachers and staff have been included.

The Health Department had also suggested to the institute that outsiders should not be allowed to enter for some time to prevent infection. Acting swiftly on this, the institute issued a stay order. The ban will be lifted only when the institute is declared corona free.
