Badrinath & Kedarnath: Administrator of temples committee suspended

A joint inquiry committee headed by the vice-chairman of the temple committee was constituted to investigate. In the investigation, the case of financial irregularities came to light. Apart from this, Rakesh Semwal, the administrator of the committee, faced many types of allegations.

Rakesh Semwal, an administrator of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee, has been suspended on charges of financial irregularities and indiscipline. An order in this regard was issued by Yogendra Singh, Chief Executive Officer of the temple committee. 

The order said that Semwal had committed financial irregularities while being the officer in charge of Gangotri, Yamunotri. On the instructions of the chairman of the temple committee, Ajendra Ajay, a joint investigation committee was constituted for the investigation under the chairmanship of the vice-chairman of the committee, Kishore Singh Panwar.

The committee included temple committee member Bhaskar Dimri, District General Manager of Industries Uttarkashi Shelly Dabral, Treasurer Rishikesh, and three technical experts from NIC. The chairman of the temple committee said that a case of financial irregularities came to the fore in the investigation of the committee.

Said that apart from this, Semwal did not join the post for a long time after he was transferred from Dehradun to the post of manager of Pipalkoti rest house. His salary was stopped on this, so he went on leave without approval after assuming office. It is said that on behalf of Semwal, he was also being written as Special Officer. On this, he has been suspended and attached to Vidyapeeth Guptkashi.
