Weather update, rain-hail alert in these districts including Uttarkashi

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of rain, hailstorm and strong winds in the hill districts of Uttarakhand in the next four days. On May 3, there will be an orange alert regarding hail. There is a yellow alert regarding rain, hailstorm on May 4. According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is active in the state at this time. On Monday, there is a possibility of light rain, thunder in the mountainous areas.
The weather is likely to remain dry over the plains of the state. Light to moderate rain may occur at most places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh districts and hilly areas in rest of the districts on Tuesday. Very light to very light rain is likely over the plains of the state.
Light to moderate rain is expected at few places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh districts on May 4 and 5. At the same time, on Sunday, it rained in places like Kanalichina, Pithoragarh, Berinag, Chinyalisaur, Ukhimath etc. There was a slight decrease in the maximum temperature in Doon on Friday. The maximum temperature settled at 36.5 degrees Celsius, which was two above normal.
