Uttarakhand government changed the rules for medical PG students registration

MBBS doctors doing PG from government and private medical colleges of Uttarakhand will have to register with the Medical Council within a month. Admission of PG students not doing so will be cancelled. 

MBBS doctors doing PG from government and private medical colleges of Uttarakhand will have to register with the Medical Council within a month. Admission of PG students not doing so will be cancelled. Instructions have been given by the Uttarakhand Medical Council to the principals of all medical colleges in this regard.

According to the rules of the National Medical Commission, no doctor can treat patients without registration. This condition is mandatory for MBBS as well as PG doctors. But now registration has also been made mandatory for students doing PG after MBBS.

MBBS doctors doing PG in medical colleges also treat patients in the teaching hospitals of the colleges. In such a situation, registration has been made mandatory for these students. A letter has been sent in this regard to all the colleges on behalf of the Registrar of Uttarakhand Medical Council. After the result of NEET PG in the state, now the process of counseling is to start. So these instructions have been given. 

360 seats in five colleges of Uttarakhand  
There are about 360 clinical and non-clinical PG seats in five medical colleges of the state. On which the admission process is going to start in a few days now. NEET PG result has been declared and now the counseling process is about to begin. Himalayan Medical College has the highest number of 120 PG seats in the state. Apart from this, there are 109 seats in SGRR, 65 in Haldwani Medical College, 34 in Doon and close to 30 in Srinagar.

Registration has been made mandatory for all MBBS doctors taking admission as PG students in state medical colleges. Instructions have been given to all the colleges in this regard. If the student does not register, the admission will be canceled within a month.
