Of these, maximum number of complaints are 358 in Nainital, 353 in Udham Singh Nagar, 167 in Almora, 81 in Bageshwar, 140 in Pithoragarh and 77 in Champawat. Till now, only 316 complaints have been resolved by the police while two have been withdrawn.
Surprisingly, the police have registered FIR in only four cases while three cases are being re-investigated. According to the information received from the DIG office, from 2021 to 2024, 38 cases of cyber crime are under investigation in Nainital, 104 in Udham Singh Nagar, eight in Almora, zero in Bageshwar, 11 in Pithoragarh and six in Champawat, while a total of 712 cases are pending from 2021 to 2024.
