Kedarnath: After Draupadi danda, now 2 trekkers are trapped in the mountains

Rudraprayag: It is snowing continuously in Uttarakhand. The government is requesting tourists not to go trekking and hill stations during this season, but despite that people are going to such places to risk their lives. After the Draupadi Ka Danda accident in Uttarkashi, now two trekkers from Bengal stranded on the Ransi-Mahapanth-Kedarnath track have died, while the other has been rescued. A group of 10 trekkers had gone on a journey, but on the way, the health of two trackers deteriorated, due to which they were trapped.

District Disaster Management Officer said that the rescue team had returned on Sunday due to heavy snowfall. The rescue team arrived again on Monday and one tracker was rescued, while the other died. Both the trekkers were stranded 6 km away from Kedarnath.

He told that a 10-member Bengal team had left on October 2 on the Mahapanth Kedarnath track via Ransi. Out of 10 trackers, 8 had come out safely, but two of them got trapped, in which one has died, while the other has been saved.

At the same time, earlier the trainees and trainers of Nehru Mountaineering Institute were trapped due to the avalanche of Draupadi of Uttarkashi in Danda. In this, 27 bodies have been recovered so far. At the same time, 2 are still missing.
