Dehradun: The condition of appointment in RTO is over from March 14

Dehradun RTO If you are going to get a learning license then this is good news for you. Now the condition of appointment for learning license in Dehradun RTO is going to end. Now from March 14, you can get the license made without appointment.

Jagran Correspondent, Dehradun. Now the condition of taking prior appointment for any work in RTO will be completely abolished. Two weeks ago, except for the learning license, the condition of limited number of applications and appointments for other works was removed. Due to the high backlog in the learning license, the condition of appointment is still in force. At present, 90 applicants are applying for learning license every day, out of which 60 are new, while 30 are from old backlog, but with the increase in the slot of learning license from Monday, the condition of appointment will also end. RTO administration Dinesh Chandra Pathoi said that from Monday, March 14, 120 applicants will be able to take the test of learning license every day.

Due to the third wave of Corona, the RTO office was closed to the public on 7 January. After this, works were started from January 24 with a limited number of appointments and the condition of appointment, but the work of learning license remained closed. In the first week of February, 30 applicants of the backlog were approved for the test of learning license. In the third week of February, apart from the backlog, 60 new applicants were also allowed to take the test of learning license. During this, the condition of limited number of applications and appointments in all works like fitness, vehicle registration, tax, challan etc. was abolished, but this condition was kept applicable in the application of learning license. Applicants sit online every morning to take appointment, but they are not able to get appointment even for two weeks. The troubled people had been demanding for the last several days from the transport authorities to end the arrangement of appointments.

On Tuesday, RTO Dinesh Chandra Pathoi, along with subordinate officers, got the work done on a daily basis. In which it was told that now the condition of limited number in other institutions of the state government has also ended and the work is going on under the earlier normal system. On which RTO Pathoi decided to abolish the condition of appointment in Doon RTO office also. The RTO said that the new system will be applicable from March 14. Along with this, the slots of learning license are being increased from 90 to 120. Now after the application, the public will be able to get the work done directly on the board. However, physical distance and masks will have to be followed.
