Cold rises in Delhi, minimum temperature below zero in Kashmir

Delhi Weather Today: The cold has increased in the national capital Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The minimum temperature was recorded in Delhi today (Monday) at 8 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature of the season was recorded on the previous day i.e. on Sunday.

Weather Today 13 December 2021, IMD Updates: The weather in North India is changing as the snowfall on the mountains has stopped since last week. Cold has increased in the national capital Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, according to the weather forecasting agency Skymet, the effect of Western Disturbance can be seen in the Western Himalayas from today (Monday). While the Northeast moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal are blowing over Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Due to which there is a change in the seasonal activities.

According to the Safdarjung Observatory, the minimum temperature in the national capital Delhi was recorded at 6.6 degrees Celsius today (Monday), which is 2.4 degrees Celsius below normal. Whereas the lowest temperature of the season was recorded on the previous day i.e. on Sunday. In the morning, the mercury was recorded at 6.4 degrees Celsius, being more than two degrees Celsius below normal. 

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in the city is expected to remain at 24 degrees Celsius. Which is one degree Celsius more than the average temperature of the season. Meanwhile, the average air quality index (AQI) in Delhi stood at 256, which falls in the poor category.

According to IMD, similar weather is likely to continue this week. Light fog may remain in Delhi till December 16. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 24 degrees and the minimum temperature around 8 Celsius.

Minimum temperature below zero in
Kashmir The outbreak of severe cold continues in the Kashmir Valley. The minimum temperature has been recorded below zero at many places. However, there has been a slight increase in the minimum temperature as compared to the last few days. Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of minus three degrees Celsius on Sunday. Earlier on Friday, the minimum temperature was recorded at minus 2.4 degrees Celsius.
