मुंबई. देश का विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार दो जून को समाप्त सप्ताह में 5.929 अरब डॉलर बढ़कर 595.067 अरब डॉलर हो गया। भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने शुक्रवार को यह जानकारी दी। इससे पहले लगातार दो सप्ताह विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार घटा था। इससे पहले के सप्ताह में देश का कुल विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार 4.34 अरब डॉलर घटकर 589.14 अरब डॉलर रह गया था।

अक्टूबर 2021 में देश का विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार 645 अरब डॉलर के रिकॉर्ड उच्च स्तर पर पहुंच गया था। लेकिन वैश्विक घटनाओं के कारण उत्पन्न दबावों के बीच केंद्रीय बैंक के रुपये के बचाव के लिए मुद्रा भंडार का उपयोग करने से इसमें गिरावट आई।

रिजर्व बैंक के साप्ताहिक आंकड़ों के अनुसार, दो जून को समाप्त सप्ताह में विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार का अहम हिस्सा विदेशी मुद्रा आस्तियां 5.27 अरब डॉलर बढ़कर 526.201 अरब डॉलर हो गयीं। डॉलर में अभिव्यक्त की जाने वाली विदेशी मुद्रा आस्तियों में यूरो, पाउंड और येन जैसी गैर-अमेरिकी मुद्राओं में आई घट-बढ़ के प्रभावों को भी शामिल किया जाता है।

रिजर्व बैंक ने कहा कि स्वर्ण भंडार का मूल्य 65.5 करोड़ डॉलर बढ़कर 45.557 अरब डॉलर हो गया। आंकड़ों के अनुसार, विशेष आहरण अधिकार (एसडीआर) 60 लाख डॉलर घटकर 18.186 अरब डॉलर रह गया। समीक्षाधीन सप्ताह में अंतरराष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष (आईएमएफ) में रखा देश का मुद्रा भंडार एक करोड़ डॉलर बढ़कर 5.123 अरब डॉलर हो गया। (एजेंसी)
