Rules for setting up Kalash in Navratri
All aspects and problems of life can be controlled during Navratri. Light and sattvik food should be taken during Navratri. Use barley and water in regular diet. These days oil, spices and grains should be eaten at least. While setting up the Kalash, put a coin in the water. Place coconut on the Kalash and sow barley by applying soil on the Kalash. Light an unbroken lamp near the Kalash.
What is the time for setting up the vase?
Establishment of Kalash is done on Pratipada date of Chaitra Shukla Paksha. This time Pratipada date is on 02 April, but Pratipada is only till 11.21 am. Therefore, the Kalash will be established before 11.21 am. The best time would be from 07.30 am to 09.00 am.
How to worship Maa Shailputri?
Wear red clothes at the time of worship. Light a one-faced lamp of ghee in front of the mother. Offer red flowers and red fruits to the goddess. After this, chant the mantra of Goddess “Om du Durgaya Namah” or if you want, recite “Durga Saptashati” regularly. Night worship is more fruitful in Navratri.
