Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission through video conferencing. He had announced the pilot project of this mission from the ramparts of Red Fort on August 15, 2020. Under this, an online platform will be created, which will also enable interoperability of other health related portals under the digital health ecosystem. This mission will prove helpful in reaching health services to the common man.

Under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, the government will create a unique health card for every person. This card will be completely digital and will look like Aadhar card. You must have seen in the Aadhar card that the type of number is there, in the same way there will be a number on this health card, on the basis of which the identity of the person will be proved in the field of health.

What will be the benefit of health card?

If you have a unique health card, it will be beneficial for both you and the doctor. With this, the patients will not only get rid of carrying medical files to show them to the doctor, at the same time, the doctors will also see the unique health ID of the patient and extract the complete data of his diseases and then on the basis of that further treatment will be started.

Through this unique health card, it will be known whether the patient gets the benefit of treatment facilities under Ayushman Bharat or not. From this health card, it will also be possible to know that the patient gets benefits of various government schemes related to health.

Aadhar, mobile number is necessary for health ID,

the person whose health ID will be created, his Aadhaar number and mobile number will be taken from him. With the help of this unique health card will be created. For this, a health authority will be formed by the government, which will collect all kinds of data related to the health of the person.

Public hospitals, community health centers, health and wellness centers and healthcare providers affiliated with the National Health Infrastructure Registry can create a health card of an individual. You can also create a Health ID by yourself.
