Airtel ने पश्चिम बंगाल में अपनी 5G सर्विस का विस्तार किया है। टेलीकॉम कंपनी ने पश्चिम बंगाल के 16 शहरों में Airtel 5G Plus सर्विस को शुरू किया है। एयरटेल ग्राहक अब बेरहामपुर, ओल्ड मालदा, रायगंज, दुर्गापुर, बालुरघाट, अलीपुरद्वार, दिनहाटा, आसनसोल, बर्धमान, कोच बिहार, मेदिनीपुर, जलपाईगुड़ी, दार्जिलिंग, इस्लामपुर और खड़गपुर में Airtel 5G Plus सर्विस का इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं। वहीं Airtel 5G Plus सर्विस सिलीगुड़ी में पहले से ही उपलब्ध है।

5G सपोर्टेड स्मार्टफोन इस्तेमाल करने वाले Airtel यूजर्स इन स्थानों पर Airtel 5G Plus सर्विस का इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं। ध्यान देने वाली बात यह है कि उन्हें 5G सर्विस का इस्तेमाल करने के लिए नए सिम कार्ड की जरूरत नहीं है। एयरटेल ग्राहक अपने मौजूदा 4जी सिम कार्ड पर इसकी 5जी सर्विस का इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं। आपको बता दें कि वर्तमान में टेलीकॉम ऑपरेटर बिना किसी एक्स्ट्रा चार्ज के 5G सर्विस प्रदान कर रहा है। इसलिए यूजर्स को Airtel 5G Plus का इस्तेमाल करने के लिए अतिरिक्त पैसे देने की जरूरत नहीं है।

Bharti Airtel वेस्ट बंगाल के सीईओ अयान सरकार ने लॉन्च पर टिप्पणी करते हुए कहा कि “मैं बेरहामपुर, ओल्ड मालदा, रायगंज, दुर्गापुर, बालुरघाट, अलीपुरद्वार, दिनहाटा, आसनसोल, बर्धमान, कोच बिहार, मेदिनीपुर, जलपाईगुड़ी, दार्जिलिंग, इस्लामपुर और खड़गपुर में एयरटेल 5जी प्लस लॉन्च करते हुए खुश हूं। अब एयरटेल ग्राहक इन 16 शहरों में अल्ट्राफास्ट नेटवर्क का एक्सपीरियंस ले सकते हैं।  मौजूदा 4जी स्पीड के मुकाबले में 20-30 गुना तेज स्पीड का लाभ ले सकते हैं। हम सभी शहरों को फास्ट इंटरनेट प्रदान करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं, जिससे ग्राहकों को हाई-डेफिनिशन वीडियो स्ट्रीमिंग, गेमिंग, मल्टीपल चैटिंग और इंस्टेंट फोटो अपलोडिंग समेत काफी कुछ करने का आनंद मिल सकता है।
