Uttarakhand: Two sons were martyred
The encounter took place during a search operation in search of terrorists in Mendhar sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir. In which Rifleman Vikram Singh and Rifleman Yogmber Singh were injured. Both Lals of Uttarakhand were martyred after being seriously injured.
Two Uttarakhand jawans were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. These include Rifleman Vikram Singh, resident of Tehri and Rifleman Yogmber Singh, resident of Sankri village of Chamoli.
The body will reach home today,
this encounter took place during the search operation conducted in search of terrorists in Mendhar sector of Poonch district. As soon as the news of the martyrdom of the sons was received on Friday morning, there was chaos in both the families. The mortal remains of both the martyrs are likely to reach their residence by Saturday afternoon.
Riflemen Vikram Singh and Yogmber Singh, residents of village Viman village of Gaza tehsil area of Tehri, who were seriously injured in the shelling, were posted in the Garhwal Rifles. During the search operation conducted in Mendhar in Poonch district, both the Lals of Uttarakhand were martyred after being seriously injured in the shelling by terrorists. The family members of Vikram Singh got information about the son’s martyrdom at 11 am on Friday. Tehsildar Renu Saini told that the mortal remains of the martyr will reach home on Saturday.
On the other hand, as soon as the news of the martyrdom of Yogbar Singh (26), resident of Sankri village of Pokhari tehsil, there was mourning in the Pokhari area. The body of Yogmber Singh is being brought to Sankri by the army. The last rites of the martyr will be performed with military honors at the ancestral ghat on Saturday.
Chief Minister Expresses Condolence
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of two soldiers of Uttarakhand during a terrorist encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. The Chief Minister said that Riflemen Vikram Singh Negi and Yogmber Singh have made the supreme sacrifice of their lives for the service of the nation, which can never be forgotten. The Chief Minister wished the families of both the martyred soldiers to have patience in this hour of grief.
