Uttarakhand gets 16 new IAS officers
The state government, which is facing a shortage of bureaucrats, has now got 16 officers in the Uttarakhand IAS cadre.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) of the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has released the list of these officers. Let us tell you that the process of appointment of PCS officers under All India Service in Uttarakhand was pending since 2014. A few days ago, the Dhami government of the state had sent its proposal to the Center. All the formalities were completed by the Union Ministry. Now the list of these officers has been released on Tuesday. Now a proposal has been sought from the state government regarding batch allocation to these officers. The batch allocation will be decided in due course on the basis of the period of service of the officers as PCS. The matter remained in judicial litigation for 12 years due to the dispute over seniority among the promoted and direct recruited PCS officers.
