Traffic will remain changed during the assembly session, know the plan issued to avoid jam.

Dehradun Traffic Plan: You may face traffic problems due to the assembly session. During the session, police will put up barriers at Pragati Vihar, Shastri Nagar Bypass, Defense Colony and Vidhan Sabha Tiraha. Due to this, people passing through Haridwar Bypass, Rispana Bridge, Rajivnagar and Haridwar Road may have to face the problem of traffic jam. The SSP has given directions to the police officers to make tight security arrangements.

Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. During the assembly session starting from Monday, city residents may have to face the problem of traffic jams due to protests during the session. During this time, police will put up barriers at Pragati Vihar, Shastri Nagar, Bypass, Defense Colony and Vidhan Sabha Tiraha.

Due to this, people passing through Haridwar Bypass, Rispana Bridge, Rajivnagar and Haridwar Road may have to face the problem of traffic jam. At the same time, SSP Ajay Singh on Sunday gave directions to the police officers and employees to make tight security arrangements during the session.

SSP directed that the officers and employees appointed on assembly gate duty will thoroughly check the people coming. Only authorized persons and pass holders and their vehicles should be allowed inside.

Apart from this, vehicles should not be parked on the road outside the Legislative Assembly from Vidhan Sabha Tiraha to Defense Colony barrier. During any procession or protest, officers and employees appointed on barrier duty should ensure that no unruly elements cross the barrier and reach near the Assembly.

This will be the traffic plan during the session

-All heavy vehicles will be diverted from Kargi Chowk and Doiwala towards Dudhli Road. Due to high traffic pressure in Rispana bridge area, heavy vehicles will be partially stopped in Laltappad, Harrawala and Nayagaon areas.

Vehicles going from Dehradun to Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri and Chamoli will be diverted towards culvert number six from Nehru Colony, Favwara Chowk.

– Traffic going from Dharampur Chowk towards ISBT will be sent towards ISBT from Old Bypass Chowki via Mata Mandir Road.

Vehicles going from Mohkampur to Mussoorie will be diverted from Jogiwala via Ring Road to Ladpur via Sahasradhara Crossing via IT Park towards Mussoorie.

Vehicles coming from Mohkampur towards Dehradun city will be sent towards Dharampur and EC Road via Vidhan Sabha Tiraha, Rispana, Old Bypass Chowki.

– Every procession (permitted) will depart from Bannu School only and their vehicles will also be parked at Bannu School only.

– When the procession departs from Bannu-School towards Pragati Vihar Barrier, vehicles coming from Rispana towards Dehradun city will be diverted from Haridwar Bypass towards Old Bypass Chowki.

In case of traffic pressure, the city bus coming from Doiwala towards Dehradun will take a U-turn from Kailash Hospital and will be sent back to Doiwala.
