Rain in Badrinath and Kedarnath.

The weather became cold due to snowfall on the high peaks of Badrinath and Kedarnath. Dense fog covered the hills.

There was light rain in Kedarnath on Sunday late evening, while the first snowfall of the season occurred on the high hills, due to which the cold has started increasing in Kedarpuri. The weather has been pleasant in the Dham since morning. As the day progressed, the enthusiasm of the Yatra in the Dham was at its peak amidst bright sunshine. After noon, light clouds started covering the Dham.

Similarly, Badrinath Dham’s weather also turned cold due to rain for about one and a half hours on Sunday evening. Dense fog covered the Himalayan hills. After six o’clock in the evening, light rain started in Kedarnath, which continued for half an hour. At the same time, there was heavy snowfall on the upper hills of Chorabari, Vasukital, and Dudh Ganga.

CEO of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Yogendra Singh said, due to snowfall on the upper hills, the cold has increased in Kedarnath in the evening. Meanwhile, the weather remained clear throughout the day in other areas of the district including the district headquarters Rudraprayag and the sun was shining brightly.
