The weather in Uttarakhand is expected to remain clear and pleasant till February 14, the day of polling. Whereas, there is a possibility of rain after 14 February. The Meteorological Department has said that the weather will be clear in the state on Friday. There is a possibility of foggy in some parts of Udhamsinghnagar and Haridwar districts. On 12th also there will be fog and mist in the morning and evening in the plains. The weather will be clear on 13th and 14th. After 14, there is a possibility of light rain at some places in the state for the next two days.

10222 parties will leave a day before polling: After this, maximum 10222 parties will leave a day before polling. After voting, the return of polling parties will also take place in the same sequence. Meanwhile, the work of voting with the available postal ballots for the elderly and differently-abled people is almost complete. More than 80 percent voting has been registered in this category so far. Postal ballot papers have also been delivered to 100 percent military voters.

35 polling parties will leave today
The countdown for voting has started in Uttarakhand. Departure of polling parties for remote polling stations will start from Friday. Polling parties have to walk 10 to 20 km to reach many polling stations in the state. According to the district headquarters and walking distance of the polling station, the Election Commission dispatches the polling parties. In this sequence, polling parties will leave for 35 remote polling stations of the state on Friday itself. The said parties will halt for a day or two in half way. While 1442 polling parties will leave on Saturday.
