Police arrested three accused for illegal recovery
In the Vasant Vihar area of Dehradun, three accused have been arrested by the police for making illegal recovery in the name of installing meters in the connection of PNG (Piped Natural Gas). One of the accused has applied for the ongoing police constable recruitment.
The accused reached to cheat after giving the examination
He had come to Doon on Wednesday to give physical efficiency test and after giving it, he reached to cheat. At the same time, another accused has worked in GAIL Gas Limited laying PNG pipeline in Dehradun. The police have also recovered fake ID cards and receipt books of GAIL Gas Company from the accused.
The accused were charging Rs 475 from every house
SHO Vasant Vihar Naresh Rathore said that on Wednesday, three youths were charging Rs 475 from each house for installing meters in the connection of PNG in Vasant Vihar area. The accused were giving the pretext of installing the meter after a few days. The accused reached the house of Mohit Arora, a resident of Indira Nagar, after making recovery in several houses. When Mohit started questioning the youth on suspicion, he slipped away by making an excuse.
Mohit informed this to the police control room. The SHO said that immediately a team of police was sent to the spot and the accused were nabbed. The accused have been identified as Jani Kumar and Mohan Singh, residents of village Ramkaran, district Haridwar, and Gurnam Singh, resident of village Mehtpur, Sati Kalan, district Haridwar. During interrogation, the accused confessed to having cheated 12 persons.
