During this period the ropeway will be repaired. Naresh Bijlwan, coordinator of Surkanda Devi Ropeway, said that from the safety point of view, technical inspection has to be done along with the repair work of the ropeway. 

The operation of Siddhpeeth Surkanda Devi Ropeway will remain closed on the 23rd and 24th of January. During this period the ropeway will be repaired. Naresh Bijlwan, coordinator of Surkanda Devi Ropeway, said that from the safety point of view, technical inspection has to be done along with the repair work of the ropeway. 

For this, ropeway will not operate on Tuesday and Wednesday. Ropeway service will be started from 8 am on January 25. During the closure of the ropeway, the devotees who wish to worship and have darshan at the Siddhapeeth Surkanda temple will have to cross a steep climb of one and a half kilometers from Kaddukhal to reach the temple.
