District-wise recruitment for 3600 vacant posts of primary teachers will start soon. In this regard, School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has instructed the officers of primary education to start the district-wise recruitment process soon. He said that in the new recruitment of primary teachers, such candidates having D.El.Ed and D.Ed qualifications will be given exemption in applying.

Such candidates will be considered eligible for new recruitment based on their earlier application. They will not need to apply again. School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the government is engaged in strengthening the primary education system. To ensure quality education in primary schools, the availability of teachers along with resources is being ensured.

The department had sought permission from the Election Commission to start the recruitment process for the long vacancies of basic teachers amid the model code of conduct in force in the state. Approval has been received from the commission. The recruitment of basic teachers in the state will be under the provisions laid down in the Uttarakhand State Primary Education (Teacher) (Amendment) Service Rules-2024.

Under this, only candidates having D.El.Ed and D.Ed qualifications are eligible for the post of primary teacher. Old candidates need not apply again Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the remaining vacant posts of Assistant Teacher Primary in the year 2020 and the year 2021 have been included in the new recruitment.
