Can be banned for four years
Kamalpreet Kaur can be suspended for a maximum of four years if found guilty. World Athletics (governing body) tweeted on Wednesday, “AIU has temporarily suspended India’s discus thrower Kamalpreet Kaur for the presence/use of a banned substance (Stanozolol) in her body.” This substance is in violation of ‘World Athletics’ Anti-Doping Rules.’
Athletics union is very strict
World Athletics temporarily suspends a player until the trial of a doping case is completed. The ‘Athletics Integrity Unit’ is an independent body set up by World Athletics. He has issued a notice to this 26-year-old player of Punjab and asked him to present his side.

Kamalpreet Kaur has also played in the Olympic Games for India in discus throw. National record holder Kamalpreet represented the country in the Tokyo Olympics. However, Kamalpreet missed out on the medal and finished sixth.
