The Char Dham Yatra has been officially inaugurated. On the other hand, due to the results of the board exams, people are reaching Uttarakhand daily for summer vacations. Especially on weekends, on Saturday and Sunday, lakhs of people from the neighboring states like Delhi, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Himachal are coming to Haridwar for sightseeing and pilgrimage. After Saturday, the same thing happened on Sunday as well.

Crowd in hotels and Dharamshalas

Apart from those who went on the Char Dham Yatra, the number of people who returned after visiting the gates was also quite high. There was a huge crowd in the hotels and Dharamshalas as well. At the same time, due to the crowd of devotees and tourists, there was a jam on the highway throughout the day. Vehicles were seen crawling throughout the day. Along with the devotees and tourists, local residents also had to face problems at many places.

At the same time, the police conducted checks at many places to find out whether the pilgrims going on the Char Dham Yatra were registered or not. This also caused chaos. However, the traffic police, CPU and Home Guard jawans worked hard to keep the traffic system smooth. Apart from the highway, the traffic system on the internal routes was also derailed.
