Why choose the BJP government in Uttarakhand?

Below mentioned are some of BJP’s bold and unprecedented moves which have put Devbhoomi on the highest pedestal not only nationally, but internationally as well.

It is the result of the country’s growing power that India got the presidency of “G-20”. Uttarakhand also got the opportunity to organize three meetings of the G-20 which led to a wider recognition of the hill state’s rich cultural heritage in the country and the world.

Strict steps have been taken against “illegal encroachment” on the government land in the state.

A strict “anti-riot law” has been introduced which makes a provision for recovery of damage to public property during riots from rioters.

The state government introduced the country’s strictest “anti-copying law” to protect the interests of hardworking students in competitive examinations and a stringent “anti-conversion law” making forced conversion a cognizable and non-bailable offense punishable with an imprisonment of 10 years. The domicile women of the state have been given 30 percent *horizontal reservation” in government jobs.

The government also provides 10 percent “horizontal reservation” in government jobs to statehood agitators and their dependents which is an unprecedented decision in Uttarakhand.

To strike a balance between ecology and economy, the BJP government has made a provision in the state’s budget for the first time for “climate change mitigation”.

The “land-subsidence issue” in Joshimath and the partial collapse of the “Silkyara tunnel” were handled by the government very effectively much to the consternation and chagrin of rival political parties.

Also “cultural renaissance” is happening in the state under Dhami’s leadership. The reconstruction of “Shri Kedarpuri” and the plan for the redevelopment of “Shri Badrinath Dham” are the best examples of his vision, leadership, and determination.

The foundation stone of “Gaurikund-Kedarnath” and “Govindghat-Hemkunt Sahib” ropeway was laid by the prime minister and later on, a ropeway to Siddhapeeth “Surkanda Devi” Temple was also made.

Over 56 lakh devotees visited Chardham last year which is a record and more than four crore Shiva devotees came to Haridwar during the Kanwar yatra.

Work is also underway in the “Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission” for the development of mythological and ancient temples of Kumaon on similar lines as that of Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham. Its “Master plan” is also being prepared.

Along with Kedarkhand, an “Action plan” is also being prepared for Manaskhand Corridor, Haridwar-Rishikesh Corridor, and Sharda Corridor.

An approval of ₹304 crore has been given for a “homestay scheme” to boost the rural economy and establishment of 17,648 “polyhouses” in the state. An attractive “”new tourism and film policy” has been made in the state in which A provision of up to 100 per cent subsidy has been made to promote self-employment.

Six “Aroma Valleys” are being developed along with “Mission Apple” and “Mission Kiwi” and it has been decided to start “Mission Cinnamon” and “Mission Timaru”.

India’s nutritious coarse grains are getting world-class recognition due to BJP’s vision. Local coarse grains like Manduwa, Jhangora, etc. are also being promoted in the state, and the “State Millet Mission” has also been approved.

For the empowerment of our mothers and sisters, the Uttaranchal government has started the ‘Mukhyamantri Lakhpati Didi Yojana’.  Under this, it has set a target of making 1.25 lakh sisters into “self-help groups millionaires” by the year 2025. The Uttarakhand “Global Investors Summit 2023” succeeded in garnering huge investments in the state. MoUs worth over ₹3.5 lakh crore have been signed against the target of ₹2.5 lakh crore to date.

I feel that the Uttarakhand government has fulfilled the majority of the promises that it had made to the people of the state and thus Uttarakhand is marching very rapidly ahead on the development path. The public welfare, development, and historical works of the Dhami government have taken major decisions which have proved to be very beneficial for the state. Through these, the public welfare schemes and all-round development works of the state government have reached all of us.

To conclude however, I am sure that with everyone’s cooperation, Devbhoomi will progress in every field and the goal of building a prosperous, strong, and self-reliant Uttarakhand “will be achieved soon by the Dhami government. I wish the incumbent Uttaranchal government success, best wishes, and best of luck.
