Twitter Unlocks Rahul Gandhi Account. “Satyameva Jayate,” Says Congress
Twitter today open Rahul Gandhi’s account, alongside that of the Congress and its different leaders, seven days after it was briefly suspended for tweeting photos of a nine-year-old casualty of supposed assault and murder in Northwest Delhi. The move came a day after he lashed out at the microblogging site.
“All Congress accounts have been opened. No explanation has been given by Twitter for the opening,” Rohan Gupta, the Congress responsible for social media accounts, told NDTV.
The party likewise explained that it had not remove its Twitter account.
In earlier, Twitter had considered the sharing of the pictures of the revealed assault casualty’s family an breaking of its guidelines.
Accordingly, the previous Congress leader had, yesterday, blamed Twitter for “broadcasting in the public political cycle” and said closing down of his handle added up to an “assault on the country’s vote based design”.
