Treatment for snakebite will be available

These days, cases of snake bites are increasing from mountains to plains. In most of the cases, people lose their lives due to non-availability of anti-venom. Now the Forest Department will immediately treat people in case of snake bite.

The forest department will now immediately treat people in case of snake bite. The department will keep snake anti-venom injections in the ranger office and forest posts. In a snake bite, the forest workers will immediately inject the person. Forest workers will also be given training for this.

Most deaths are due to heart attacks more because of fear than snake venom. A plan has been made for immediate treatment of people after snake bite. Snake anti-venom injections will be kept in the forest ranger office, forest posts of Forest Department Terai Central Forest Range, Haldwani, Terai Western, Ramnagar, Eastern, and Western Forest Ranges where more snake bite cases are reported. As soon as information is received about the snake bite of any person, the forest department team will reach the spot and administer the injection. After this, the person injured by snake bite will be taken to the nearest hospital.

Since June 15, more than 150 cases of snake bites have been reported from the entire Kumaon in STH, the largest referral center of Kumaon. More than 70 cases have come from the plains. 10 people have died due to snake bites.

The forest department will train forest workers to catch snakes and crocodiles in the Terai area. Soon, more than 50 forest workers will be given training at Nandhaur, Tanakpur, Bhakra, Pipalpadav, Koj, Gadgadiya, Barhaini, Rudrapur, Gaula Range, Dauli, Kichha and many other places.

After a snake bite, people will be given immediate treatment. Apart from this, anti-venom snakes will be kept in the Forest Rangers office and forest posts. Forest workers will also be given training to administer the vaccine.
