Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has praised the general budget. He described the budget as fulfilling the aspirations of the people of India. It was also said that this will give new direction and momentum to the resolve of developed India.
Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke to the media at the Secretariat regarding the General Budget 2024-25. Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Dhami said that this budget will realize the aspirations of the people of India and give the country new direction and momentum. CM Dhami noted that the budget presented by Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the House is historic, visionary, inclusive, all-embracing, and all-embracing.
CM Dhami has expressed gratitude to PM Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on behalf of all the people of the state for announcing a special assistance package for the losses caused by natural disasters in Uttarakhand in the Union Budget 2024-25. He said that through this special package, the damage caused by disasters in the state will not hamper the pace of development of the state. The Chief Minister said that the Central Government has included 9 priorities for a developed India in the budget which will prove to be effective in strengthening the overall development of India. He said that this budget would work to bring prosperity to the life of the common man.
Chief Minister Dhami has expressed his gratitude to the Central Government for starting the fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The Chief Minister said that to provide better connectivity to rural areas, phase four of PMGSY will be started to provide all-weather connectivity to 25,000 rural areas. The Chief Minister said that this decision of the Central Government will further strengthen road connectivity in rural areas of Uttarakhand. CM Dhami said that in the general budget, it has been announced to create 12 new industrial parks across the country. He said that investment agreements worth more than three and a half lakh crores were signed at the Global Investment Summit held in Uttarakhand last year. In such a situation, Uttarakhand is also expected to benefit from the construction of industrial parks. CM Dhami said that the budget of the central government is focused on the poor, women, youth, and farmers. Employment, skilling, MSME, and middle class have been specially included in the theme of the budget. CM Dhami said that a provision has been made in the budget to provide additional assistance from the Central Government for the damage caused by landslides and excessive rainfall in Uttarakhand. Solar energy has been encouraged in the budget under PM Surya Ghar Yojana. With this, remote areas of the state will get definite benefits.
CM Dhami said that many important points for the youth have been included in the budget. He said that arrangements have been made to give loans up to Rs 10 lakh to students for higher education in domestic institutions. Now a loan of up to Rs 7.5 lakh has been made under Skill Loan. Along with this, the Central Government has announced a minimum support price on main crops. People registering for the first time will get assistance of Rs 15,000. The Chief Minister said that first-time job seekers, people registering with EPFO for the first time, if their salary is less than Rs 1 lakh, will get the assistance of Rs 15,000 in three installments. Along with this, under education loans, those who are not getting any benefit under government schemes will get loans for admission to institutions across the country. The government will give up to 3 percent of the loan amount. For this, e-vouchers will be brought which will be given to one lakh students every year.
