Jagran Correspondent, Dehradun: The Special Task Force of Uttarakhand Police is now examining the horoscopes of cyber thugs, that too in film style. So that by collecting criminal history, they can be tightened accordingly.

The software of Telangana Police, whose name is Cybercrime Analysis and Profiling System, has become helpful in this. You must have seen this often in movies. STF has so far checked 220 mobile numbers of cyber thugs with this software.

Software designed to collect the criminal history of thugs

Usually, cyber thugs make victims of only a few people in a state with a mobile number. After this, he starts using the second number. When they are caught in a state or district, the police there are not aware of the crimes committed in other states. This prevents effective action against cyber thugs.

In such a situation, he is soon released from jail and again indulges in cheating. Keeping this in mind, the Telangana Police has developed software to collect the criminal history of cyber-thugs.

STF of Uttarakhand Police is also getting a lot of help from this. Recently STF caught cyber thug Wasim Akram from Delhi. When the mobile numbers found with Waseem were checked in this software, it was found that more than 2800 complaints have been received against him across the country and more than 180 cases have been registered in different police stations.

After this, the STF also informed about Wasim to the concerned states, so that the process of action against him could be started there. STF SSP Ayush Aggarwal said that the police in all the districts of the state have also been given access to this software so that they can trace the horoscope of cyber thugs.

This is how the software works

In this software of Telangana Police, a record of mobile numbers used for cyber fraud is kept. This information is also updated continuously. In such a situation, when a case of cyber fraud comes to the fore, by entering the mobile number used in it in the software, the details of all the crimes committed through it come to the fore.

When a criminal is caught, the information about the complaints and cases registered against him is also sent to the concerned states, so that they too can initiate the process for legal action against the accused.

When a cyber thug is caught, his mobile number is checked through the software of Telangana Police. From this, it is known that in how many crimes that number was used. The same process is followed with mobile numbers used for cyber fraud.
