Surya Grahan 2024 Timing: The first solar eclipse of the year is today
Surya Grahan 2024 Timing This will be the first time when Indian scientists will be able to examine and test the solar eclipse from the sky along with the ground. The first complete solar eclipse of the year is going to take place on Monday, April 8. Ramesh Chandra, Nainital. This will be the first time when Indian scientists will be able to study and examine the solar eclipse from the sky along with the ground. The first complete solar eclipse of the year is going to take place on Monday, April 8.
From a height of 15 lakh km, the eyes of the country’s solar scientists from Aditya L-1 and Earth will be fixed on the eclipsed Sun with the help of telescopes. Although this eclipse will not be visible from India, therefore three Indian scientists and an engineer have left for America to study it.
Director of Aryabhatta Observational Science Research Institute (ARIES) Nainital and Co-Chairman of Aditya L-1 Science Group Committee and Outreach Department, Prof. Dipankar Banerjee said that this time this total solar eclipse will be special in many ways.
Unresolved mysteries can be solved
It is possible that some of the unsolved mysteries of the Sun may be solved during the eclipse. This will also be the first opportunity for Aditya L-1. It will be able to observe the eclipse closely and send us pictures of the eclipse. Apart from Prof. Dipankar, Aries’ solar scientist Dr. S Krishna Prasad and engineer TS Kumar from Texas, and a former scientist of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics Bangalore, Prof. RC Kapoor will study the total solar eclipse from Mexico.
The duration of the total eclipse will be about four minutes and 27 seconds. Meanwhile, Indian scientists will be eagerly waiting for the pictures taken by Aditya L-1. These pictures will be very helpful for the solar scientists of the world in their study.

Observation of the type of eclipse
According to Dr. Wahabuddin, former acting director of Aries and solar scientist, the maximum duration of the total solar eclipse in Mexico will be about four minutes and 27 seconds. The beauty of the eclipse is that most of it is falling on the land of populated cities.
Which passes through the United States and Canada. In 2009, Dr. Wahabuddin went to China to study the total solar eclipse.
The solar eclipse will begin at 9:12 pm Indian time
According to Prof. RC Kapoor, former scientist of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore, the eclipse will start at 9:12 pm on Monday night as per Indian time and will continue till 2:22 am. Scientists from almost all the countries of the world will also be present in North America to see the eclipse. Due to its long duration, everyone wants to witness the eclipse.
