Sheikh Hasina Resignation 

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left her country and is currently in India and there are reports that she may go to London from here. Preparations are underway to form an interim government led by the army in Bangladesh and according to media reports, Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus may lead the interim government of Bangladesh.

After the all-party meeting, Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar shared a post on social media, in which he praised the opposition parties for the support received during the all-party meeting. Jaishankar posted on the social media platform, ‘Informed about the ongoing developments in Bangladesh in the all-party meeting in Parliament today. I appreciate the unanimous support and understanding.’

Nahid Islam is being blamed for the protests in Bangladesh due to which Sheikh Hasina had to flee the country. Nahid is a student of sociology and a student leader. Nahid Islam is often seen wearing the Bangladeshi flag on his forehead. Nahid Islam has a good hold among the youth of Bangladesh. Nahid Islam initially led the student movement against reservation; later, the government fell in Bangladesh due to this movement.

The all-party meeting called by the government on the situation in Bangladesh has ended. There is news that the Bangladesh Air Force plane that came to India with Sheikh Hasina has returned this morning. Anarchy has reached its peak in Bangladesh and law and order is destroyed. Due to this, many prisoners lodged in Bangladesh jails have escaped. Minority Hindus are being targeted in Bangladesh and there are reports of vandalism in many temples.

Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy expressed apprehension that Pakistan and its intelligence agency ISI could be behind the ongoing unrest in his country. He also did not deny America’s role behind this.

The government has called an all-party meeting today on the situation in Bangladesh. This meeting has been called in the Parliament House. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar will give information on the situation in Bangladesh. Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge are attending the meeting from the opposition side. Congress MP Manish Tiwari has presented a proposal to discuss the Bangladesh issue in Parliament. Demolition and arson in many police stations in Bangladesh
