SBI ATM Rules change: Nowadays most people use ATMs. With the help of an ATM, you can withdraw money from your account in any city. These days a message is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which it is being claimed that if money is withdrawn from an SBI ATM more than 4 times, then a charge of Rs 173 will have to be paid. Let us tell you that this news is completely fake. SBI has not issued any such rule.

Fake message is viral on social media

In a viral message on social media, it has been claimed that in case of more than 40 transactions in a year in the savings account, Rs 57.5 will be deducted from the deposit amount per transaction and a total of Rs 173 will be deducted for withdrawing money from ATM more than 4 times. This claim has been termed as false by PIB Fact Check, it was found in the fact check that the State Bank of India did not make any changes in the transaction-related rules.

In another viral message also, it is being claimed about SBI ATM that for more than 4 withdrawals from ATM, a total of Rs 173 will be deducted including tax of Rs 150 and service charge of Rs 23. It has been claimed in the fake message that this rule has been implemented from June 1.

PIB Fact Check has termed these claims as fake. Let us tell you that there is no such rule regarding ATM. According to the RBI website, you can do 5 free transactions every month from your bank’s ATM. After this, if there is a maximum of Rs 21 per transaction or any tax, it will have to be paid separately.
