By India Today News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 100th episode of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’ at 11 am on Sunday. The 100th episode of Mann ki Baat will be broadcast live in the United Nations headquarters. It will be aired in the UN’s Trusteeship Council Chamber.

“Get ready for a historic moment as the 100th episode of PM Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” is set to go live on April 30th in the Trusteeship Council Chamber at @UN HQ!” the Permanent Mission of India to the UN said in a tweet.

The 100th episode of Modi’s monthly radio address will air at 11 am IST on April 30, which will be 1:30 am Sunday in New York.

PM Modi on Saturday said the journey of Mann Ki Baat his has been a truly special journey for him.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made elaborate arrangements for the Sunday special episode and ministries of the Central government and the state units have planned several programmes to mark the historic feat.

The party has left no stone unturned to make the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat an ‘unprecedented’ mass outreach programme. It will make arrangements at 100 venues on average in every assembly constituency across the country for people to listen to it.

Over the subsequent years, Mann ki Baat encompassed a multitude of topics — weather, environment, cleanliness, various social issues and even examinations.

Here are 10 points on PM Modi’s 100th Mann Ki Baat episode:

  • Mann ki Baat was first aired on October 3, 2014 and is broadcast on the last Sunday of every month at 11 am on the entire All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan (DD) network. The 100th episode of the 30-minute programme will be aired on April 30.

  • The Union Ministry of Tourism has planned “100 days of action” to mark the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann ki Baat” radio broadcast. The ministry will celebrate the 100th episode through its Yuva Tourism Clubs, officials told news agency PTI.

  • The BJP said it will make arrangements at around four lakh places across the country for people to hear PM Modi’s address, with party president J P Nadda overseeing the entire exercise to make it a “historic” success. Overseas Indians around the world will also listen to ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the party said in a statement.

  • The BJP has made arrangements for the broadcast on Sunday of the 100th episode of PM Modi’s ‘Mann ki Baat’ (MKB) in 2000 enclosures at the booth level across Odisha and appealed to the people and other political parties, like the BJD and Congress to listen to it. Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal told PTI, “Mann ki Baat is purely non-political.”

  • The Consulate General of India in New York, along with community organisation Federation of Indian Associations NY-NJ-NE and others, is also organising the broadcast of the 100th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ for members of the Indian-American and diaspora community in New Jersey during a special event at 1:30 am Sunday. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who was on an official visit to Guyana, Panama, Colombia and the Dominican Republic, is expected to attend the community event.

  • In a bid to make the 100th episode of ‘Mann ki Baat’ a historic event, the Uttar Pradesh unit of the BJP has made elaborate arrangements for its airing at 55,000 centres at the booth level.

    Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday rolled out a commemorative postage stamp to mark the 100th edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. A commemorative Rs 100 coin was also unveiled to mark the momentous event in the valedictory session.

  • To mark the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the BJP’s Jharkhand unit on Saturday celebrated ‘deepotsav’ (festival of lights) at its headquarters in Ranchi and created a human chain at Harmu Chowk. The state BJP has decided to celebrate the occasion in a grand manner with top leaders listening to the programme at different places.

  • The BJP on its Twitter handle shared the links of various social media platforms which one can access to tune in to 100th episode of Mann ki Baat on Sunday.

  • Microsoft Co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat. ”Mann ki Baat has catalyzed community-led action on sanitation, health, women’s economic empowerment and other issues linked to the Sustainable Development Goals. Congratulations @narendramodi on the 100th episode,” he said in a tweet.

  • Ahead of the 100th episode, an IIM Survey has found that nearly ninety-six percent of the population is aware of PM Modi’s monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat. The programme has reached 100 crore people who are aware and have listened to the programme at least once, a government statement said quoting the report. The report states there are 23 crore regular listeners of the programme and it has cited powerful and decisive leadership and emotional connection with the audience as reasons for its popularity.
