New Pulse Variety Developed to Increase Farmer Income.

The G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, located in Uttarakhand, India, has developed a new pulse variety known as “Uttarakhand Arhar-22” that is expected to increase farmer income and yield by 10-12%. This new variety is resistant to diseases and pests and has a shorter maturity period of 170-180 days.
