More than two million people from Ukraine have taken refuge in other European countries

Russia Ukraine News: Due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, not only the local people in Ukraine had to suffer, but people of many countries of the world including citizens of Indian origin also suffered. Meanwhile, more than two million people from Ukraine have taken refuge in other countries of Europe after Russia’s invasion and they have also gathered evidence for war crimes trial. The number of people crossing the country’s border also increased as Russian military offensives in Ukrainian cities intensified. 

Allegations of shelling in residential areas

Ihor Dikov, who left Kyiv, said he had heard shots fired in residential areas and bodies were lying in several places on the streets. “Russia promised to provide a secure humanitarian corridor, but it did not do so,” Dikov said. They are firing at unarmed people.

Three corridors built for evacuation from the bombed areas

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that three evacuation corridors were built in the bombed areas and a total of about 35,000 people were evacuated. The International Organization for Migration has said at least one million people have been displaced within Ukraine amid a growing number of refugees. 

Flight to Delhi carrying 200 Indians stranded in Ukraine

A special aircraft carrying 200 Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine reached Delhi on Friday morning. The joy of arrival in their country was clearly visible on the Indian citizens. A student who returned from Ukraine said that we are very happy to come back to our country, the condition there is still bad. We thank the Government of India because they thought of us and did so much without asking.

According to the information, three evacuation flights carrying the last batch of Indian nationals including about 600 students from Ukraine are to come to India on Friday morning. One of these flights reached Delhi in the morning. India has already brought back 17,000 Indians under ‘Operation Ganga’. Now these three flights are likely to be the last flights on the evacuation mission.

People aware of the development said that around 600 Indian students, who were evacuated from the Ukrainian city of Sumy, are scheduled to come to Delhi on Friday morning. 200 Indians have come to Delhi in one flight. These students were brought by train from Poltava in central Ukraine to Lviv and then taken to Poland. It is noteworthy that they were trapped in Sumi. India is bringing back its citizens from Romania, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Moldova, who had arrived in these countries from the land borders of Ukraine.
