Leopard Attack in Dehradun
Nikhil, who was returning home after playing in the river in Dehradun, was attacked in the form of Guldar Kaal. But, without caring for their lives, his companions fought with him and pulled him out of the clutches of the henchman. According to his friends, if Nikhil had been two steps further behind, perhaps something untoward would have happened. These four friends of Nikhil are no less than a boon for him.
Nikhil had played in the Rispana River with his neighbors Kamal Thapa, Gautam Thapa, Umesh Thapa, and Karan Thapa on Sunday afternoon. Among them, Kamal, Gautam, and Umesh are between 21 and 22 years old. Whereas, Karan is the same age as Nikhil.
It started getting dark there after around five in the evening. While playing volleyball, he lit a fire there for some time and started warming his hands. Meanwhile, Nikhil said let’s go home, everyone will be waiting. After some time all five left from there. One of these companions started plucking gourd from the vine spread on the river bank. Nikhil was walking behind at a distance of about five steps.
Kamal Thapa said that it was around six o’clock when he heard a scream from behind. There was some light around. They saw that the henchman had pounced on Nikhil. On this, all four people caught hold of Nikhil’s feet. Guldar had the back part of Nikhil’s head in his mouth.
Everyone pulled Nikhil towards them until he had him completely under his grip. When he raised an alarm, nearby people gathered there. They took Nikhil out of there and came towards the colony. After some time, police and ambulance also arrived there.
Kamal said that if Nikhil had been two steps further away, the henchman would have dragged him away. Karan Thapa was the youngest among those who saved Nikhil. His age is also around 12-13 years. As soon as Kamal, Umesh, and Gautam came towards Nikhil, Karan also showed bravery.
Karan also held one of Nikhil’s legs tightly. Like his elder comrades, he also fought with the henchmen. Nikhil is currently undergoing treatment. Soon he will return home. The bravery of these four will always be remembered behind this.
