ITBP Passing out Parade Mussoorie

After receiving rigorous training of 25 weeks at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Academy, a total of 53 officers, including 52 medical officers and 01 Subedar/Jag officer, joined the mainstream of the force. During the rigorous and long training, these officers were given intensive training in military and police-related subjects like combat skills, weapon handling, physical training, intelligence, map study, military administration, law, and human rights.

Among these officers who passed out, the trainees of the 54th Gos Combatization Course are from various states of the country, including 08-08 from Kerala and Rajasthan, 05 from Tamil Nadu, 04 from Uttar Pradesh, 03-03 from Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Manipur, 02-02 from Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Telangana, Pondicherry and 01-01 from Bihar, Assam, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Today, in the grand convocation and oath-taking ceremony organized after the training, these young officers took the oath of loyalty and dedication towards the Constitution and the force.

Rahul Rasgotra, Indian Police Service, Director General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, in his address as the Chief Guest at the Passing Out Parade, congratulated all the passing out officers on joining the mainstream of the force and wished them a bright future in the force. Rasgotra is a 1989 batch IPS officer of the Manipur cadre. He has also been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, and the Exceptional Intelligence Efficiency Medal.

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force is a disciplined and highly trained force that works diligently in difficult conditions even in minus 45 degree temperatures at forward posts located at an altitude of up to 19 thousand feet and is providing security to important institutions in the country as well as abroad. Be it internal security, security of the country’s borders, VIP security of prestigious institutions, disaster management, or any other special task, it remains at the forefront when the country needs it and performs its duties.

The chief guest while addressing the newly appointed officers said that the history of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force has been very glorious. The force has a lot of expectations from you people, therefore you have to bring glory to the force by carrying forward its traditions. 

Trainees who performed well during the training were awarded with trophies. During this, the chief guest released the e-Amog magazine. This book contains the journey of the above courses so far.
