For the last few days, millions of tonnes of garbage burning continuously has started deteriorating the climate of Doon and its surroundings. In Shishambara, for the last few days, the garbage of the municipal corporation has been coming in the heap. Despite all the efforts, this fire is not extinguished. According to experts, there is a possibility of getting many types of hazardous chemicals in the air in the smoke of the garbage which is burning. For this reason the air quality is being checked. PCB Regional Officer Dr. AK Chaturvedi said that monitoring is being done on the instructions of the Board’s Member Secretary, SP Subuddhi. Its report will come in a day or two.
