Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in Uttarakhand
Eid-al-Fitr prayers are being offered for the prosperity, progress, peace, and brotherhood of the country by offering namaz in various mosques including Dehradun’s Eidgah. In view of the crowd in the Eidgah premises, namaz was also offered on the roads outside. Police were deployed at various places to maintain law and order. From young to old, everyone hugged each other and wished each other.
Dehradun: Eid-al-Fitr: Eid-ul-Fitr (sweet Eid) is being celebrated today after 30 days of Ramzan. Since morning, prayers have been offered in various mosques including Dehradun’s Idgah, and prayers are being offered for the prosperity, progress, peace, and brotherhood of the country. From young to old, everyone hugged each other and wished each other.
Crowds started gathering in the morning for Eid Namaaz at Eidgah situated on Chakrata Road. In view of the crowd in Eidgah premises, Namaaz was also offered on the roads outside. Police were deployed at various places to maintain order. Shahar Qazi Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Qasmi offered Namaaz at 8:30.
After the completion of the namaz at 8:40, Shahar Qazi said that Islam is a religion of safety and love, not hatred. Eid is a reward from God. On Eid, all grievances should be forgotten and everyone should be embraced like friends and loved ones.
Apart from this, prayers are being offered in more than 53 Eidgahs and mosques in the city including Eidgah Muslim Colony, Eidgah Subhash Nagar, Majra Jama Masjid Paltan Bazaar, Jama Masjid Chander Nagar Masjid Singhal Mandi, Jama Masjid EC Road, Jama Masjid Ajabpur, Madrasa Kanwali Village, Madina Masjid Kargi, Madrasa Izharul Uloom Moronwala, Madrasa Faiz-e-Hidayat Mehunwala Mafi, Jama Masjid Kargi.
