A massive devastation was seen in Himachal Pradesh on 31 July. There are reports of cloud bursts, floods, and heavy rains in many places of the state. More than 52 people are reported missing in these incidents of cloud bursts and floods.

The biggest incident of cloud burst has been seen in the Jhakri area of ​​Rampur where 36 people are missing due to a flood in Samej Khad due to cloud burst and the death of one has been confirmed by the district administration.

The district administration has released the list of missing people.  Apart from this, there are also reports of the dam bursting due to cloudburst near the dam built in Malana village, which is said to be the oldest democracy in the world. Due to the dam burst, many buildings have been washed away in the lower Baladi area where the Malana and Parvati rivers meet and many people are stranded.

Due to a cloud burst in Sinhagad on the way to Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra in the Kullu district, many houses have been washed away in the Bagipul, Jao, and Sargha areas and 7 people are said to be missing. Apart from this, 11 private buildings, government buildings, and many cow sheds have been washed away in Bagipul.

An incident of cloud burst also occurred in the Padhar area of ​​Mandi district at midnight. The District SP has reached the spot and said that the body of one deceased has been recovered from the debris and 9 people are still missing. He said that rescue and relief work is in progress.

Malali Leh Highway has once again been closed due to heavy rains and floods. At many places between Kullu and Manali, part of the National Highway has been washed away in the Beas river.
