By Pramod Madhav: A CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) jawan slapped a bus driver on Karnataka’s Hossur highway after the bus overtook the security convoy transporting military equipment on Monday.
The altercation at Krishnagiri happened when the CISF convoy was providing security to military transport.
A state-run, overspeeding bus overtook the convoy. The CISF vehicle then stopped the bus, and a security personnel slapped the bus driver, identified as Thamizharasu.
Ruckus followed after villagers and other bus drivers demanded an apology from the armed soldiers.
The Gurubarapalli Police rushed to the spot and managed the situation. The convoy was allowed to pass after CISF sub-inspector Prathap, who slapped the driver, apologised.
