Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the previous Samajwadi Party government, accusing it of sheltering dreaded criminals and mafias who ran a “parallel government” spreading “anarchy” in the state, while “Babua” (an apparent reference to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav) “used to sleep in his house”.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Ayodhya that in every SP state, the biggest mafia and goon of every district was associated with the SP. When the mafia used to run a parallel government and create chaos and hooliganism, Babua (Akhilesh Yadav) did not come out of the house. Yogi fiercely attacked the SP in a public meeting organized at Vidya Mandir Inter College Milkipur. He said that in Akhilesh’s state, the biggest mafia and goons of every district were associated with SP. The mafia ran a parallel government and created chaos and hooliganism and the public suffered. Crossing the limits of Muslim appeasement, these people spread chaos during festivals. Holi, Diwali, Rakshabandhan-Shivratri, and Ramnavami-Janmashtami were banned. They banned Janmashtami celebrations in police stations, police lines, and jails. They used to say that do not sing bhajans on Janmashtami. Some people did not like the tune of Hare Rama, Hare Krishna, so SP banned it. They banned the Kanwar Yatra. Everyone saw the Ayodhya riots during Durga Puja. The idol was stolen from the Devkali temple during the SP government. As an MP, I came from Gorakhpur and protested.

The Chief Minister further said that before 2017, Uttar Pradesh was considered a barrier to India’s development. Anarchy was at its peak. There was discrimination in development schemes and great men were insulted. The double-engine government of the BJP increased the development work at a fast pace in seven and a half years. Today, four-lane, and two-lane roads, better connectivity of villages, and electricity and water arrangements in villages and hamlets are seen in Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi further said that the people of SP used to smuggle cows, cut forests, and encroach land, but today the encroachments have been removed from the lands. Our government formed an anti-land mafia task force in 2017 and freed 64 thousand hectares of land from the land mafia goons of SP. Land has also been freed from encroachment in Bhadarsa. When there is trouble in freeing the land from the henchmen, the gang leader says that there has been a land scam in Ayodhya. There was no land scam here, but compensation of Rs 1700 crore has been distributed to the farmers. These people are speaking in favor of the black deeds of their henchmen. There is not a single case where the victim has not received compensation.
