Blast at Nainital BJP leader Pradeep Bisht’s home; Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami orders probe
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has requested that the DIG lead an investigation concerning the blast.
Haldwani: A report on Wednesday proposed that a blast happened at a Bharatiya Janata Party leader’s home in Uttarakhand on Tuesday night.
The house of BJP district president Nainital, Pradeep Bisht, in Heera Nagar was shaken by a blast, reported Dainik Jagran.
Subsequently, the entryways and windows of his home were damaged. However, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries.
The Nainital Police cordoned off the area after the blast. The incident is being investigated.
Nainital District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, who was available at the scene, said that the reason for the impact not really settled after a thorough investigation.
Pradeep Bisht lives in Heera Nagar, which falls under the Haldwani Police Station area.
As per police, a loud bang was heard at approximately 12:30 pm, following which the windows and entryways of Bisht’s home were uprooted and crushed. There was likewise harm to a divider in one room.
Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, observed the incident and requested an investigation to be directed by the DIG.
Meanwhile, Pradeep Bisht said that there is still no clear explanation for the blast. An investigation will reveal reality with regards to the circumstance, he added.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nilesh Anand Bharne on Wednesday investigated the spot.
BJP MLA from Kaladhungi Banshidhar Bhagat and Mayor of Haldwani-Kathgodam municipal corporation, Jogendra Pal Singh Rautela, likewise visited Bisht’s home today, reported Amar Ujala.
