By Anirban Sinha Roy: The Leader of Opposition in the Bengal assembly and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari took a dig at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s government again, accusing Banerjee over the Centre’s Samagra Shiksha Mission scheme. Adhikari wrote a letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday over this.

“I have written a letter to Union Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan ji complaining against Mamata Banerjee’s government for the distribution of schoolbags under the centrally-funded ‘Samagra Shiksha Mission’ without mentioning the contribution of the central government and using this scheme for her personal political benefits using the ‘Biswa Bangla’ logo on the schoolbags,” Adhikari tweeted.

The Bengal government provided bags to students enrolled in the government schools. But it was alleged by Adhikari that the state government did not mention the name of the central scheme – Samagra Shiksha Mission.

Adhikari’s main allegation was that the state government always uses the Biswa Bangla Logo in every scheme, even in those proposed or made by the central government.

This prompted him to write a two-page letter to Pradhan titled “Schoolbags distributed to schoolchildren under the centrally-funded Samagra Shiksha Mission by TMC Govt in West Bengal wrongfully uses Biswa Bangla logo, eclipsing Central Govt’s contribution”.
