Accused Dominic Martin arrested, in Kerala blast case
The bomb blasts in Kerala have created a sensation in the entire country. Security agencies suspect a terrorist angle behind this incident. So, the accused who took responsibility for this incident has now been arrested by the police.
Police action is continuing in the case of the blast in the Christian community program in Kalamassery, Kerala. Both the central government agencies and the state police are rapidly investigating this matter. On the other hand, the police have arrested the accused Dominic Martin in this case. Martin is being interrogated in police custody for the last 24 hours.
Case registered under UAPA section
Police have registered a case against Kerala blast case accused Dominic Martin under sections 16/1 of UAPA, Explosive Act, murder and conspiracy. Let us tell you that just after the blast in Kalamassery, Martin surrendered at Kodagarh police station in Thrissur district of Kerala and took responsibility for the blast. This person has told the police that he belongs to the Christian sect Jehovah, in whose program the blast took place. The police then took him into custody and interrogated him.
What did CM Vijayan say?
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the victims injured in the Kalamassery blast will be given the best treatment and the government will bear the medical expenses. CM Vijayan said that apart from what Martin Dominic has admitted in the investigation of the blast, the police are also investigating whether there was some other motive for the blast. He said that the investigation is progressing well under the leadership of top police officers including the DGP. The Chief Minister has urged the people to stay away from controversies regarding the blasts and face it with restraint and unity.
The case of the Hamas leader will be investigated.
