Accident between Tractor and bus from Haldwani depot on the highway
The bus from the Haldwani depot of Roadways collided with a tractor-trolley loaded with wood in Bilaspur, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night. The accident was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely shattered. The conductor died while 13 people including the driver were injured. All of them were taken to the nearest hospital with the help of police and local people.
Jagran Correspondent, Haldwani. A bus from Haldwani depot of Roadways collided with a tractor-trolley loaded with wood in Bilaspur, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night. The accident was so severe that the front portion of the bus was completely shattered. The conductor died, while 13 people including the driver were injured. All of them were taken to the nearest hospital with the help of police and local people.
Here, on receiving information, Roadways officials from Haldwani also reached the spot. A roadways bus operates on the route from Haldwani to Nainital and Nainital to Delhi via Haldwani. The bus left for Delhi from Haldwani bus station at 9 pm on Tuesday. There were 24 passengers in it. At around 10:30 pm, the bus collided with a tractor-trolley near Chaddha Paper Mill in Bilaspur.
Haldwani depot’s ARM Surendra Bisht says that this accident happened because the tractor was standing on the road. However, due to the speed, the front part of the bus was shattered. Local people also came to help on hearing the screams of the passengers. Police also arrived. In the accident, bus conductor Manish Kumar Mishra resident of Ujala Nagar Haldwani, driver Mahesh Singh resident of Tiwari Nagar Lalkuan, and 12 other passengers were also injured.
When Manish’s condition became critical, he was referred from Rampur Hospital to a higher center, but he died before reaching Moradabad. On receiving the information, ARM Surendra Bisht, Haldwani depot in-charge DN Joshi, and other officials reached the spot on Wednesday morning. Driver Mahesh has been admitted to a private hospital in Haldwani due to a fracture in his leg. The corporation will bear the cost of his treatment.

Manish had become regular only three months ago
Conductor Manish Mishra was working in the roadways for about one and a half months. Initially, he was appointed on a contract basis. Three months ago, he got a permanent appointment under the deceased dependent quota. His father also worked in the Transport Corporation. There is chaos in the family after getting the news of the accident.
