From DPR to design has been finalized. The construction work will start as soon as the cabinet approves it.

This mall will be a unique gift from HRDA to the tourists and devotees as well as to the residents of Haridwar. Vice Chairman of the Authority, Anshul Singh said that the Central Government will spend Rs 136 crore on the construction and the remaining Rs 28 crore will be spent by the State Government. Its work will be completed in one to one and a half years.
Hill culture will be visible
Told that traditional clothes and handicrafts from different parts of India would be available in one place in the mall. Ekta Mall is designed to create an engaging, relaxing shopping experience rooted in the vibrancy and diversity of India’s traditional textiles and artisan handicrafts. This will also give a new identity to the traditional products of Uttarakhand.

Not only will you get to see the culture of different states in the mall, but complete care has also been taken for entertainment. An open cinema hall will also be built in the multi-story mall. In which a short drama or film can be watched from any floor. Authority Vice President Anshul Singh said that two auditoriums will also be built in the mall. In which various cultural programs can be organized.
This is how HRDA got the responsibility
One Ekta Mall is to be opened in every state of the country. For Uttarakhand, a place was first searched in Dehradun. Due to a lack of space, Udham Singh Nagar was selected for the project, but considering the number of tourists and devotees coming from other states, Haridwar was selected instead of Udham Singh Nagar. Therefore, the responsibility for the construction of Ekta Mall was handed over to HRDA. HRDA Vice President Anshul Singh said that Ekta Mall will give a better experience to the tourists and devotees coming from outside their journey.
