Project Director of National Highways Authority of India PS Gunsai said the toll tax has increased by 5 to 10 percent. The increased rates will be applicable at all toll plazas from Sunday night.

The increase in toll tax across the country has also come into effect at the toll plazas of the region after midnight on Sunday. In such a situation, vehicles going from Dehradun to Haridwar and Haridwar to Delhi will have to pay about ten rupees more.

Similarly, to go from Haridwar to Delhi, one must pay almost the same amount at the toll in Bahadarabad. Whereas, passengers coming to Delhi from Dehradun via Bhagwanpur Roorkee will have to pay about five rupees more at the toll at Bhagwanpur.
