Mock Drill for Chardham Yatra; Cloudburst and Devotees Missing in Uttarkashi Flood
Chardham Yatra Mock Drill: Disaster Operation Center received information about a stampede at the Rishikesh bus station. On the other hand, due to heavy rains, the problem of flood has arisen at Vishnu Ghat, Sarv Nand Ghat, and Dudha Dhari Chowk, where there is a possibility of getting trapped in many pilgrims on Chardham Yatra. Rescue and relief teams immediately left for the spot.
During the upcoming Chardham Yatra, all the line departments will work in coordination. To see this, a mock drill has been conducted in the state today. A mock drill of disaster management took place across the state. There was a cloud burst in Uttarkashi’s Barkot, whereas, in Haridwar, 12 devotees went missing due to floods in the Ganga. Rescue teams are on the spot. On the other hand, CM Dhami has reached the control room to take stock of the situation.
School children were reported stranded in the coastal area due to a flood in the river near Oasis School near Pratap Stadium.
